Recycling your old pictures

DC3 C-FOOW

Like everyone else I'm sure I'm not the only one with a box full of old pictures taken prior to the days of digital perfection.

I recently went through one of those box and found some real decent shots.

What is possible now is to scan these at a very good resolution and have a digital version of that picture for storage and you can even fix any problems they might have...or not.

Using a program like Photoshop or GIMP, you can sharpen the image, play with the colors and if all else fails, turn it into a black and white shot.

The pictures in this post were taken back in 1996 with an unknown 35mm film camera. The plane is a 1944 DC3 registered C-FOOW. It's an ex-RCAF machine and at the time I was visiting the Oshawa airport with the kids.

Until next time, keep taking pictures and have fun.

Gerry :)
